Please be advised that securing an on-campus hostel room is not guaranteed or mandatory for all students.

Off-Campus Housing

Under the Office of Dean of students, there are students who can be granted alternative arrangements, onwhich there are numerous private rental options available in the neighborhoods surrounding the campus. This off-campus accommodation can provide greater flexibility and variety in terms of price, amenities, and living style.

l  Cafeteria Services

The campus cafeteria provides a varied and nutritious menu for the university community. Meals can be paid for directly with cash, or through institutional billing for authorized staff and faculty. We operate under strict food safety and hygiene protocols, with all guidelines clearly communicated to ensure the health and welfare of our students is always the top priority.

Students have the outdoor and indoor eating options from different food vendors who sell a variety of food on their menus: Food ranged from the much loved chips-mayai (zege) to matoke, makande, pilau e.t.c.

l  Spiritual Life

The Office of the Dean of Students coordinates a range of free religious activities and supports for the spiritual well-being of our student community. Students of all faiths are welcome to participate in these organized events. In addition to the dedicated interfaith spaces provided on campus for prayer and gatherings, there are several accessible churches and mosques located in the immediate vicinity of the campus for your convenience.

l  Sport & Recreation

The institute promotes an active student life through a diverse sports program. We offer facilities and organized play for popular team sports including volleyball, netball, and football, alongside a variety of indoor games. Students can compete in inter-faculty tournaments and represent the university in inter-college competitions. Excellence in sports is recognized through awards presented to our top-performing student-athletes.

l   Medical & Hospital Services

The institute prioritizes student health and well-being. We facilitate access to medical care through partnered local health centers and regional hospitals for all necessary treatment. All students are encouraged to seek medical attention promptly when needed.

To ensure effective and affordable care, the following procedures are mandatory:

l  Health Insurance Requirement: Possession of a valid National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) membership is compulsory for every student. This is essential for accessing medical services.

l  Medical Documentation: A completed and signed medical history form must be submitted to the institute upon registration. It is crucial that students disclose any long-term illnesses, ongoing treatments, or known allergies.

Emergency Protocols: Clear protocols for reporting illness and visiting health facilities are established and communicated to all students. The School Warden must be informed of any significant health issues to provide appropriate support.
